Siuslaw National Forest

A short hike in the forest started off a day trip at the coast. The Knoll loop trial is partially in forest property and part city park. It affords a lovely view of the lengthy beach along Lincoln City. It was fun to gain elevation out of the birch and into sword ferns and fir trees. The serenity of the hike was interrupted only by a few loud hikers shouting for their friend that had taken off ahead.
