This park is only a couple miles outside of Billings, MT. There is a short hike on a paved trail that takes you up to the main cave. Most of the year there are only a few cave paintings visible and that is what I saw. There were several animal shapes and a line of rifles in red. The older black charcoal paintings are shown on a diagram but are only seen when the moisture content in the walls of the cave are optimum. The trail turns to rock and continues to two other smaller caves with no petroglyphs. Pretty area that I caught on a really nice spring day so there were lots of people.
