Martin Luther King, Jr National Historic Park

In the heart of old Atlanta, this park encompasses about four city blocks. It includes a visitor center, church, King Center, library, Freedom Hall, and historic buildings including his birth place/childhood home, fire station and family church. The grounds also have a peace rose garden, eternal flame, lectern, tomb and reflecting pond. I walked around the grounds but was in the wrong season to see the pattern of the blooming roses in a starburst pattern. The reflecting pond surrounding the tomb was really cool. The grounds are scattered with MLK, Jr quotes and a statue of Gandhi.
