The park has two sections: the original homestead where Lincoln was born and another homestead about 10 miles north where he moved to at the age of 2. Both locations have several nice trails in the mixed hardwood forest. Boundary oak trail is just fascinating that it used to have the large oak tree that defined the property edge, the tree died in 1976. The birthplace, Sinking Spring Farm, has a large memorial that is impressive from the outside. Inside there is a replica cabin of what was typical for the time period as the original cabin appearance is unknown. His boyhood home at Knob Creek Farm has a historic tavern (built for tourists) and a rebuilt cabin that is original from one of his boyhood friends.
