The park has four main sites including the Plains high school/visitor center, Rail Depot/Campaign headquarters, boyhood farm and the only house he ever owned. The high school shows the teenage years, US Navy, further on into presidency and work later in life for humanitarian purposes including his Nobel Peace Prize medal. I stopped at the home gardens to pay respect to Jimmy and Rosalynn grave site. Final spot was his family farm that was three miles out of town. I walked around the entire compound and was most impressed with the clay tennis court that he grew up playing on. Even though the family was considered middle class for the time, they did not have indoor running water until he was about 9 years old.
