Greenbelt Park

Oct. 4, 2024

Surrounded by loud busy roads, this urban park has all the typical attributes of a local city or state park: wooded walking paths, grassy fields, picnic areas and a campground. It does not seem to fit into the National Park system, but it is part of it. The trails were decent with lots of squirrels. It made for a nice evening stroll along the Perimeter and Dogwood trails. There was some storm damage that washed out the path in several spots and caused bridge issues. I was able to make it down a gully, cross the creek and climb back up without getting muddy.
