Gateway Arch National Park

It is not possible to hike in this park, although I did walk around the grounds under the arch. The main attraction is to ride the tiny tram to the top. The 5 person cars were built in the 1960s when people were smaller. I hit my head going up and down while being crammed in the car with strangers. The view from the top was amazing and I could see a baseball game going on for the Cardinals. It was slightly strange feeling the arch moving while high up and several people were ready to leave well before the tram got back. The museum underground is nice to peruse the history of the St Louis area, westward expansion, Oregon trail and building the arch.
