The part of the forest that I went hiking in was not much of a forest. There were a few scraggly juniper trees with lots of sandstone cliffs. Yant Flats trailhead was many miles on a rough road to see the cliffs and a cute rabbit. The other sections I drove through the next day were better with high alpine meadows surrounded by aspen, spruce and white fir. I even saw a small herd of pronghorn and the road went through two arches.
