The forest starts at the edge of the city limit for Newport, WA, making it easily accessible and popular. I did the trails at Upper Wolf. The sign has the trails as easy, moderate and difficult but I think it was for cross county skiing and mountain biking as every trail was super easy. They meandered through mostly fir trees with a few scattered pines. Fall is definitely in the air as some leaves were starting to turn yellow and red.
