Blackstone River Valley Historical Park

This is another park dedicated to the industrial revolution, specifically cotton milling in the area. There are several walking tours of various towns, but the main location is the Old Slater Mill. I walked around the area where the cotton mills still stand and the river is still dammed. It is kind of cool to see how they made turbines to use the energy of the water to power the processing plant. Making cotton cloth was much more efficient but environmentally horrific. At its height, the Blackstone river area had over 100 mills that dumped their waste from dyes into the river.
