Typical of BLM run land, roads and trails are not marked. I tried to go to Mt. Irish and found the road closed making a two mile hike turn into 18 miles. Next option was White River. I think I went down at least five wrong roads before I found the correct one. One of the wrong roads went through the most amazing steep walled canyon, so it was not a total waste of time. White river has petroglyphs on the rocks and lots of rattlesnakes. I only did a short hike using my trekking poles to smack every bush and rock in front of me to make sure no snakes popped out.
