African Burial Ground National Monument

Street hiking counts, right? I walked 1.4 miles between the parks in New York City. The burial grounds were discovered in 1991 during construction of a federal building. Many of the graves of African slaves were excavated for research and then returned later as part of the monument. There is a nice visitor center and a large outside monument further down the block.
