Short Springs Natural Area - TN

I was working in the area and had a bit of time for an evening hike. There are three waterfalls along several trails. I was nervous about early darkness this time of year, so I only hiked to two of them. Most of the leaves were off the trees making the forest look rather naked. The thick layer of leaves on the trail made it hard to see the rocks and roots creating an obstacle course on the way to the falls. I saw Machine and Busby Falls which are both short waterfalls. On the way out, I spotted a single young buck.
