Clear sky with a beautiful alpine lake and not a person to be seen or heard equals a perfect hiking day. I hiked around Jubilee Lake and startled a huge blue heron. I could see trout in the lake and ducks swimming on top. There were several big deer along the road and a couple vehicles that I assumed were grouse hunters. I found a rope swing but was not tempted to use it this time of year, a couple creeks around the lake were frozen over.
