I was completely surprised by Grapevine Canyon trail. There are large, highly visible petroglyphs on numerous boulders near the entrance to the canyon. I hiked part way up the canyon and saw a few more etchings and a decent rock cave. I turned around where the trail went under a larger boulder. Having my claustrophobia flare up was not something I desired today. The BLM run monument is snuggled between Mojave National Preserve and Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Bonus in this area was the desert poppies blooming.
