Scientists may have found many fossils here, but I hiked the most boring trail of my life. I did the Aliante loop which is flat on small rocks. The sparce shrubbery consisted of sage brush. No interesting trees, rocks, formations, water etc. There were cool Joshua trees about 5 miles north of here, but nothing like that in the monument.
