Beautiful canyons, arches, cool rock formations, ruins and great hiking, this park has it all. I liked it much better than the Grand Canyon. The day started at dawn at the Mesa Arch fighting for the best camera spot with the other tourists. There were less people along other trails such as Aztec Butte which has the ruins but is an insanely steep hike up a butte. Upheaval Dome was next and is a weird geologic crater that scientists cannot determine if it was a meteorite or exploded salt dome. I went to Grand viewpoint and White Rim Overlook to see into the amazing layered canyons with the Colorado River at the bottom. On the drive out, there was a beautiful coyote strolling next to the road. That is not something I would normally say that about coyotes.
